Degree by Research (DbR) BRIN

The Degree by Research (DbR) program, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), is a research-based postgraduate (Master's and Doctoral) education pathway. Through this scheme, I invite highly dedicated postgraduate students to collaborate and conduct research under my supervision at the Research Center for Food Technology and Processing (PRTPP) BRIN.

Instructor: Dr. Nodali Ndraha

Location: KST Umar Anggara Jenie, 3rd floor

Overview

The offered research themes focus specifically on enhancing food microbial safety. Successful candidates will be involved in strategic research projects, which include Quantitative Microbial Risk Assessment (QMRA), predictive microbiology modeling, and the development of rapid molecular detection technologies (such as PCR, MIRA, or CRISPR applications) for various foodborne pathogens—including Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, and Listeria monocytogenes, Vibrio parahaemolyticus*—particularly within local Indonesian food matrices.

Students participating in this program will benefit from full access to modern research facilities at the Umar Anggara Jenie Science and Technology Park in Gunungkidul, a collaborative research ecosystem, and intensive mentoring to produce globally reputable scientific publications, all while fulfilling the degree requirements at their respective home universities.
